The team at Martin Thompson Joinery Ltd (MTJ) are amazing from first point of contact, to options and ways of achieving what we wanted. All the way to install and fitting, MTJ are exceptional! They have gone above and beyond to give us the vision we wanted in up-cycling old wardrobes and turning them into a new modern look with a feature wall made by hand. Blown away by their Joiners who did brilliant work, respected the whole house while working and also helped with fixing issues we found as we removed sections of the old wardrobes and flooring. The finish we have is thanks to them. We cannot wait to see what they do with our kitchen, where we plan to up-cycle again. Thank you so much :) PS... I just wanted to write and express my gratitude for Sean and John's work at Martin Thompson Joinery Ltd Company! The bannister and handrail with pillars on our staircase exceeded our expectations! They are made from a beautiful sapele wood with a reddish tinge! The smell of the fresh wood wafts in our house. The handrail not only looks great but is a life-changer for me! It will prevent me from further falls! I am very grateful to Sean and John, who have been warm-hearted and very professional people! They completed work very quickly and tidied up afterwards. They even fitted the handmade wooden bunny (which I ordered separately from Ukraine) on top of the pillar, which is now welcoming all guests to our house! What a pleasure to deal with such a professional company. James measured up for our fitted bedroom furniture and gave us additional suggestions which we took onboard in the overall design. In addition, we had also visited their premises to look at the showroom, and were allowed to take home sample colour panels of bedroom furniture to ensure we were happy with our choice. The quoted price was very competitive and could be undertaken in a timely manner, so we decided to go ahead with the installation. The project was carried out over a couple of days and the installation team of John and Tyler were exemplary regarding their timekeeping, performance and attitude. We will definitely be using this company again for any future projects of this nature. Definitely recommended. ~ Brian K

Dear Martin, Our wardrobe and cupboard fitment was completed to your company's usual very high standard yesterday. In the end we decided to go for the increased size and now it’s done we’re pleased we made the decision. Now the proud owner of superb fitted wardrobes which enhance one of my bedrooms wonderfully. The initial support and ethical salesmanship from James was tremendous. I felt informed and very clear about specifications and pricing. The wardrobes were fitted in a day with mininum fuss and disruption. The fitters were friendly and courteous and didn't complain about my dubious tea. The finished product is an excellent testament to the bespoke and impressive work of this family firm. Highly recommend. We have sloping ceilings and an awkward corner, and needed a solution to maximise storage in the available space. James worked with us to create a design and come up with a modern colour scheme. We had had a visit from a national company who claim to be market leaders in fitted bedroom furniture - but they couldn't work with our awkward corner and were offering an inferior product for about the same price. Martin's ideas worked well and the result was a truly bespoke solution. High quality workmanship and a team that take great pride in what they do. Superb and exceptional work carried out by John and Tyler from Martin Thompson Joinery. The whole team worked hard to achieve my view of the kitchen and utility room. The kitchen had new doors in 2/3 of the cupboards and new cupboards and modification of the other 1/3. The utility room, to match the kitchen, had newly built cupboards. The finish product in both rooms is outstanding, the quality of the units exceptional, the team was very clean and tidy and the attention to detail was excellent - amazing workmanship. Had the pleasure of Martin and his team fitting our built in wardrobe. Having been to a couple of well known retailers for a quote, we were pleasantly surprised by how affordable Martin was. So impressed with the quality of craftsmanship on our bespoke cupboards. The team were able to create a design that dealt with the multiple angles of our ceiling, and the beam. We wanted a modern style that didn't look like a wardrobe and we were able to create something unique. The installation team were fantastic, and were able to adapt to our slightly uneven walls! August 2020 was the second time I used Martin Thompson Joinery, this time for a bespoke, hardwood, double glazed window for my listed cottage. There were some unknowns with regard to replacing the old window which required the guys to make some onsite adjustments but the result is excellent. Their carpenters are first class, the service from start to finish cannot be faulted. Highly recommended. ~ Karen E

I provided James and the team with a design brief and some sketches to create a show stand and the guys did a fantastic job. James was incredibly enthusiastic, helpful and had many great ideas on how to create some of the more complex parts of the stand. Its been some time that I have had my kitchen in now - since April actually and Its taken me a while to get around to talking about it as I am still mesmerized by its beauty. James came out to talk it over with us and he exhibited an immense amount of patience through the whole decision making. He was very re-assuring and great problem solving skills, enabling me to get what I wanted. I used my prerogative to change my mind endless times and came back to where I started! When the chaps came to install it they were brilliant , conscientious, respectful and hardworking, nothing was too much trouble, they left the place tidy every day. The kitchen I now have has surpassed all my expectations, it is a working kitchen - but looks like a showroom it withstands all that a working kitchen has to contend with and I still enjoy bringing it back to the showroom look when I have finished - very easy to clean and wipe down, loads of working space - I just love it. I have done a fair bit of work to the house over the years but never have I ever been so delighted with a project.
